About VR Work
How can someone truly understand another person without experiencing the same thing? Missing from traditional mediums is the ability for audiences to experience simultaneous visuals, sounds, and interactions that create experiences which shape the human condition. Currently, my art practice in VR focuses on expanding single perspectives. Through the technology of VR, my work explores ways that allow viewers to be immersed and able to interact with cultures across the globe and back through time. The logic of a language is tied to the place of its conception, Lingua Vitae and Siheyuan hopes to allow audiences to experience Latin and Chinese in its original context, re-interpreting the past for modern audiences to understand to facilitate learning.
